ABOUT THE ROLE

The Asset Coordinator at Qube Energy will oversee operational asset management, focusing on strategic sourcing, compliance, and efficient use of assets across the resources industry. Reporting to the National Projects and Assets Lead, this role calls for a proactive and solutions-oriented individual with hands-on experience in coordinating a range of assets, from small forklifts to large-scale equipment like front-end loaders, prime movers, and reach stackers. In this dynamic environment, the successful candidate will ensure assets meet ongoing operational needs.

With the opportunity to work across projects and daily operations, this role provides a blend of strategic planning, contractor management, and direct asset oversight. Adaptability, strong organisational skills, and an eye for continuous improvement are essential.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Asset Planning and Mobilisation: Strategically plan and source diverse assets for routine operations and project requirements, including specialised scopes like turnarounds and shutdowns.
  • Operational and Project Coordination: Coordinate daily asset activities, manage contractors, and resolve logistical challenges to meet operational demands efficiently.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for assets, including utilisation, financial records, and compliance reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with operational and project teams to align asset use with business objectives, ensuring resources are available, maintained, and ready for deployment.
  • Cost Management and Reporting: Oversee and report on asset-related costs, identifying opportunities to maximise efficiency and stay within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead and support improvement projects focused on asset management, financial governance, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with operational teams, contractors and vendors, ensuring service quality aligns with Qube Energy standards and project requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience: 2-4 years in asset coordination, contractor management, and financial oversight, ideally within resources or logistics.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with a wide range of assets, from small to heavy-duty equipment, is preferred; familiarity with strategic asset sourcing is advantageous.
  • Financial Acumen: Cost tracking and compliance skills to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Organisational and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to maintain structure in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and asset or project management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
