ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Container Hire & Sales Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory of containers within a designated facility or organization. This role involves tracking, monitoring, and coordinating the movement, storage, and utilization of containers to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy in inventory management. The Senior Container Hire & Sales Coordinator works closely with various departments, suppliers, and logistics teams to maintain an accurate count of containers, streamline operations, and support overall supply chain management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with inquiries, quotations, and order processing for container hire and sales.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of containers, ensuring accurate records and availability for hire and sales.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the logistics of container delivery and collection, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Contract Management: Prepare and manage container hire agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on container hire and sales activities, including performance metrics and financial data.
- Collaborate with Logistics Teams: Collaborate with logistics teams to schedule container movements and optimize container utilization.
- Coordinate with Suppliers and Vendors: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and return of containers.
- Track Container Locations: Track container locations, both on-site and off-site, and update the system accordingly.
- Manage Depot Locations: Manage depot locations where repairs are being completed for customer containers.
- Analyze Inventory Data: Analyze inventory data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide Insights and Recommendations: Provide insights and recommendations to management for optimizing container management processes.
- Enhance Container Management Procedures: Continuously assess and enhance container management procedures to streamline operations.
- Collaborate on Inventory Management Systems: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new inventory management systems or technologies.
- Coordinate Container Maintenance: Coordinate the repair, maintenance, and certification of containers as required.
- Manage Hire Requirements: Manage on-hire and off-hire requirements with customers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics or a related field
- Min 5 years of experience in container hire, sales, or logistics with a proven track record of success
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, organisational abilities and proficiency in relevant software applications
