THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the QE Asset & Engineering Manager is to support management in ensuring that Qube Energy sites comply with all the client, regulatory and company responsibilities, including safety, through the effective procurement and maintenance of plant and equipment at the operating sites. The role is to support the Management team with technical maintenance support for operations and procure and install task fit assets as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement and maintain maintenance management processes and procedures for Qube Energy
  • Support the maintenance teams across responsible Qube Energy sites.
  • Maintain the Qube Energy Asset Register in Mainpac and Sisense Dashboard
  • Conduct asset life cycle reviews across all sites to identify what current assets are fit for purpose, performance and sustainability
  • Review and install robust preventative maintenance (PM) procedures as per OEM recommendations and implement through the Asset Management System (Mainpac)
  • Monitor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
  • Support the asset procurement process during asset replacements and new site / contract implementations
  • Manage and improve the repair and maintenance expenditure across the responsible Qube Energy BU
  • Undertake analysis of Mainpac/Sisense data to make informed decisions for procurement, utilisation and maintenance requirements
  • Review the monthly key performance indicators including costs, equipment availability and maintenance data and make recommendations to the operating Managers
  • Review fleet regularly and make recommendations for planned component replacement to reduce major failures which increase down time and increase overall run costs Co-ordinate training for Site Maintenance employees on the usage of Mainpac 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications in Engineering / Mechanical and/or Minimum of five years in Maintenance Management ideally in a transport or logistics environment.
  • Experience with fleet management of heavy machinery, trucks and equipment
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point
  • Competency in fleet administration compliance regulation and management process
  • Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment
