ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Queensland Manager is to manage safe and efficient Supply Chain operations across Surat Basin and Gladstone regions, ensuring effective warehouse and inventory management and delivery of critical equipment to operational location on time and in full.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight of the Management teams of seven Supply Bases and remote stores and infield transport operations across the Queensland region
- Liaise with transport operators across Australia to ensure the supply chain requirements are met
- Support ongoing improvement initiatives that improve both Qube and their customers goals of safe, efficient and cost-effective operations
- Internal and external engagement with stakeholders to ensure ongoing understanding of challenges for service delivery
- Support meetings with internal and external stakeholders for safety, commercial and operational compliance
- Monitoring and records of records inclusive of transport delivery, inventory management and safety record for effect reporting on a regular basis
- Supporting the leadership and operational teams to continually meet targets
- Ensure compliance to the NHVR requirements in Queensland for certification requirements
- Effective people and culture management for the entire Queensland operations
- Participate in joint safety initiatives between Qube and their customers
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Strong Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and employees
- Customer focused and responsive to customer requirements
- Integrity
- Good time management skills
- Sound understanding of chain of responsibility requirements
- Sound knowledge of the Warehousing and Logistics industry and business management, including financial understanding
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to work well within a team environment
