About the Role
 
We’re looking for a skilled Welder Engineer to join our Bluff-based operational team on the port. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out fabrication, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of heavy off-road machinery including loaders, material handlers, and terminal tractors. You’ll be based at the Bluff port with access to the right tools, gear, and support.
 
Location: Bluff Port
 
Status: Full-time, 4 on, 4 off roster working 0600 - 1800
 
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Carry out welding, fabrication, and repairs on heavy machinery and port equipment
  • Monitor and replace worn attachments and components
  • Provide technical input to improve component quality and longevity
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report incidents promptly
Who we're after:
 
Candidates must be Level 4 Trade Certified. You should have a verified history of working on heavy vehicles / machinery, hold a Minimum Class 2 License, and demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and in a small team environment with a positive can-do attitude.
