 ABOUT THE ROLE

As a key member of the Workforce Management Systems team, you will be responsible for providing business analyst (BA) support across a number of key workforce systems areas with a strong focus on EA interpretation, documentation of system enhancements and requirement gathering for implementations into the Workforce Management Systems.

The role will also provide analytical and reporting support to the Labour Centre Manager and WFM Systems Manager working with two System Data Analysts and a Data Analyst to provide insightful labour reporting.

The role will be critical to ensuring Workforce Management Systems are configured in a way that employee payments are timely, accurate and compliant with EA’s and awards.

 Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate review and interpretation of EA’s, Awards and Letters of agreement (LOA’s) for configuration by the System Administrators in our Workforce Management Systems
  • Ongoing review and audits of workforce management systems configuration to prevent incorrect payment or entitlement calculations
  • Develop requirements for reporting and dashboarding to provide insights and trends in labour costs and labour management to Qube management and finance teams
  • Support Industrial Relations GM’s with data and analysis leading up to and during EA negotiations
  • Identify and document business requirements for enhancements to Workforce Management Systems
  • Document use case scenarios of Workforce Management system functions
  • Create user guides, system guidelines and documentation for Workforce Management Systems
  • Perform requirement gathering for new site implementations into the Workforce Management Systems and integrations to other systems
  • Work with National Labour Centre Manager and WFM Systems Manager to improve employee and management experience of the rostering processes such as allocation requirements, employee self-service, leave application and approval processes
  • Identify and champion business process improvement opportunities that reduce cost, improve employee experience and reduce compliance risk
  • Respond to internal business user requests for assistance with issues related to application and functions
  • Other BA support to the National Labour Centre Manager and WFM Systems Manager.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience mapping business processes
  • Experience researching business requirements
  • Experience implementing process improvements and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Experience with system implementations and writing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for software enhancements
  • Reviewing Functional Requirement Specifications (FRSs)
  • Testing of software functionality and deliveries
  • Organising and performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Organising and performing training of users
  • Experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
  • Understanding of modern awards and industrial instruments within the stevedoring, road transport, warehousing and forestry industries
  • Workforce management experience within the stevedoring, road transport, warehousing and forestry industries
  • Understanding of system processes to aid system administration of Workforce Management Systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microster user interface
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Microster Database
  • Configuration in Microster
  • Creation of dashboards in Sisense
  • Experience using SQL for data validation, data cleanup, quality control as well as extracting and transforming data for reporting
  • Functional understanding and experience with ERP and invoicing of clients.

Desirable experience

  • Experience with TMS, Oracle, Connect, iChris, Jemini and/or Deputy
