About the Role
Position: Diesel Mechanic
We’re looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our modern fleet of trucks—predominantly Kenworths. You’ll be working in a fully equipped workshop with access to high-quality tooling and support, though you’ll need to bring your own toolbox.
Location: Gisborne Qube Forestry Workshop
Status: Full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays and after-hours work as required. Standard hours are 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility around start and finish times. (Please note that the operation is 7-day week, 24-hour so flexibility is needed)
Specific Responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing a fleet of modern trucks (predominantly Kenworth)
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues
- Replacing and repairing components
- Supporting fleet operations in a busy, high-performing environment
Who we're after:
We’re seeking candidates who are either Level 4 NZQA Road Transport Certified or have 5–10 years of hands-on experience working with diesel trucks. You should be confident working independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible attitude to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation.
