ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a leading Supply Chain and Logistics company committed to leveraging advanced data solutions to drive innovation and strategic decision-making. Our team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with data analytics, and we are seeking a talented Data Engineer with expertise in Amazon Redshift, Fivetran and SQL Server to join us in optimizing our data infrastructure.

As a Data Engineer specializing in Amazon Redshift, Fivetran and SQL Server, you will play a key role in managing, optimizing, and scaling our data warehouse and database environment. You will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to design and maintain high-performance, reliable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using tools such as DMS, Fivetran, and AWS Glue. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful data initiatives.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for writing, optimizing, and debugging queries, with expertise in database design, indexing, normalization, and replication.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data products, including Redshift, DMS, S3, Lambda, Glue, and monitoring with CloudWatch.
  • Proven experience in data warehousing, data modelling, and modern data architectures, with focus on Redshift performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools such as Fivetran and AWS Glue.
  • Solid understanding of data integration, migration strategies, and application dependencies.
  • Familiarity with data formats (e.g., JSON), automation/scheduling tools (e.g., cron), and version control (e.g., Git/Bitbucket).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, security, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to document technical processes clearly.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, working seamlessly with business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty).
  • Experience with other data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery).
  • Strong experience with SQL Server administration and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran and AWS Glue.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data manipulation tasks.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Experience in monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting large-scale data pipelines.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, AI/ML integration, or modern data architecture trends.
