About the role
- Overseeing the maintenance program, including preventive maintenance, corrective works, and prompt responses to out of course failures
- Ensuring timely and efficient resolution of work requests
- Analysing recurring maintenance issues, identifying trends, and reporting insights to the Maintenance Manager
- Responding to call-outs and assisting with breakdowns to maintain uninterrupted operations
- Supervising contractors in alignment with our contractor management plan and ensuring compliance with standards
- Reviewing current work practices to identify and implement areas for improvement
- Preparing comprehensive Daily Shift Reports to ensure transparency and accountability
- Leading initiatives in continuous improvement and Root Cause Analysis

Qualifications 
 
- Ability to promote safety and provide positive leadership to the team
- Trade qualification or Engineering degree required
- Prior experience in a people leadership role is essential along with the ability to encourage, lead, support and foster a positive and collaborative team culture across Maintenance and Operations
- Excellent trouble shooting experience with the ability to understand, assess and work through and resolve maintenance issues
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Leader role
- Strong communication, coaching, consultation and negotiations skills with an ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Solid commercial acumen, able to understand and manage budgets
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft excel
