The Role
As Management Accountant, you will support the Commercial & Administration team by maintaining the integrity of Qube Ports NZ’s finance function. You will assist with accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and key financial information to enable effective planning and decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure P&L entries are accurate, within Company timeframes and maintained to Accounting Standards
 
- Reconcile balance sheet recharge/suspense accounts
 
- Analyse financial data and monitor KPI’s for Operations and Executive reporting
 
- Meet all month end reporting deadlines as provided
 
- Assist with maintaining Fixed Asset Register and monitor Capex
 
- Prepare weekly analysis reports for Operations
 
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting as well as key projects throughout the year
 
- Ad hoc tasks as required
 
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA) with a minimum of 5 years experience
 
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
 
- Experience with Oracle or Adaptive preferable but not essential
 
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel & PowerPoint
 
- Ability to be adaptable to a demanding work environment working in a small team
 
- Ideally seeking someone available to start immediately
