What's the role?  

Qube Bulk are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team, based at our Hendra office in Brisbane. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth across Qube’s Integrated Logistics portfolio in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new integrated supply-chain opportunities that combine road, rail, warehousing, intermodal, and value-added logistics services for major clients in mining & resources, agriculture, consumer & retail, industrial, and energy sectors.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in the Eastern states that align with Qube’s Integrated Logistics strategic growth plan.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of integrated end-to-end logistics solutions (road, rail, warehousing, distribution, and port-related services).
  • Lead or support the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, tenders, expressions of interest, and early contractor engagement processes.
  • Collaborate closely with State Managers, Regional General Managers, Operations, Commercial, and Solutions Design teams to create tailored, value-driven customer solutions.
  • Develop and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key clients, prospects, industry bodies, and supply-chain partners.
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasting and reporting of all opportunities via the national CRM and management reporting systems.
  • Deliver specialist commercial and technical support to regional operations teams for major pursuits and contract implementations.
  • Represent Qube Integrated Logistics at industry events, conferences, and client functions across the Eastern region.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in business development or key account management within transport and or shipping, logistics, 3PL/4PL, supply-chain solutions, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of winning and delivering multi-modal or integrated logistics contracts (road/rail/warehousing/intermodal).
  • Strong existing network and relationships within the Eastern Australian logistics, mining, agriculture, retail/FMCG, or industrial sectors highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and negotiate complex, long-term commercial agreements.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel extensively throughout QLD, NSW, VIC, and TAS.
