What's the role?  

Qube Bulk are currently looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our team, based at our Perth office. The Bid Writer plays a critical role in the formulation and delivery of high-quality, winning tender responses and proposals for Qube’s Bulk and Qube Holdings Limited (QHL) divisions. Working collaboratively with business development, commercial, technical, and operational teams, the Bid Writer is responsible for translating technical solutions and commercial strategies into compelling, client-focused narratives that clearly articulate Qube’s value proposition and win themes.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end bid response process, from Expression of Interest (EOI) through to Request for Tender (RFT), negotiation, contract award, and post-submission review.
  • Produce professionally written, persuasive proposal and presentation content that succinctly communicates Qube’s competitive advantages, win themes, and alignment with client requirements.
  • Lead the development of bid strategy in collaboration with the Bid Team and relevant business units, including facilitation of bid/no-bid decisions, storyboarding, and review cycles.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the central bid collateral library (capability statements, case studies, resumes, graphics, etc.) to ensure up-to-date and reusable content.
  • Partner with technical, operational, and solutions design teams to fully understand proposed scopes and translate complex technical information into clear, client-oriented language.
  • Ensure all submissions exceed client evaluation criteria, are compliant, professionally presented, and delivered on time.
  • Manage the final production, compilation, and timely lodgement of submission documents via client portals or other required channels.
  • Conduct structured win/loss reviews and capture detailed client feedback to continuously refine bid strategies, content, and processes.
  • Update and develop key marketing collateral used in tender responses as required.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer, Tender Writer, or similar role within logistics, transport, construction, mining services, or professional services environments (essential).
  • Proven track record of producing successful, high-scoring tender responses for multi-million-dollar opportunities.
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline (highly desirable).
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat skills; experience with InDesign or similar an advantage.
  • Familiarity with tender portals (e.g., TenderLink, VendorPanel, Ariba, Coupa) and bid management software/tools highly regarded.
