The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the well-established, Kalgoorlie Team. While overseeing all Kalgoorlie SSAN operations, the ideal candidate for this role will have the capability to hit the ground running and lead a strong team to success.
- Full-time position – for locally-based applicants
- Monday – Friday roster with flexibility to be on-call over weekends

Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and development opportunities to the operation staff, line managers.
- Manage the compliance of health, safety, and quality assurance as well as documentation and procedural requirements for site.
- Achieve KPI targets on monthly / annual basis.
- Offer productive training, development & guidance to work force.
- Oversee completion of driver inductions and that they are conducted effectively. Permits and licenses are valid and maintained, total adherence to site and road regulations.
- Assist in effective, high quality incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Address performance issues within the team.
- Consult and plan maintenance schedule.
Qualification & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Broad knowledge of the mining logistics and trucking sector with an in-depth knowledge of mobile fleets and associated equipment
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing and developing employees, ideally gained in logistics or heavy industry environment
- Operations management experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry
- Previous experience leading similar size team and managing an operation safely
- Experience in dangerous goods and fleet management.
- MC licence and willing to obtain a dangerous good drivers licence / security card.
- Maintenance knowledge advantage.
- Mainpac, Inx and Origin advantage.
