About the Role
Qube Ports NZ is experiencing continued growth, and as a result, we’re looking to appoint an experienced Mechanic to take responsibility for our forklift fleet in Tauranga. This role is predominantly focused on pulp handling forklifts, working with Linde and Hyster equipment, while also supporting maintenance across other heavy machinery including loaders and excavators.
Location: Tauranga
Status: Base $46.33 p/h Full-time, Mon-Fri working 7am to 4pm
Specific Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating day-to-day mechanical work on forklifts
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy machinery
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
- Supporting operational uptime in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
Who we're after:
- Relevant NZQA Level 4 trade qualification, and a minimum of three years of verified relevant experience required.
- Proven experience working on forklifts, heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude to the role.
