Primary Purpose

The Account Manager is responsible for the effective management of client relationships within the Qube Energy business. The role focuses on maintaining strong partnerships, ensuring service excellence, and driving operational and commercial performance across allocated accounts.

This position plays a key role in ensuring structure and accuracy in record management, reporting and commercial practices, while supporting internal and external stakeholders through clear communication and proactive account management.

Success in this role requires strong relationship skills, commercial awareness and a structured approach to performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with a portfolio of Qube Energy clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of key customer needs and operational requirements to deliver tailored, reliable solutions.
  • Undertake regular site visits and maintain consistent customer engagements across all locations.
  • Proactively manage and resolve client issues and complaints, maintaining confidence and satisfaction.
  • Conduct and chair quarterly customer meetings, including setting agendas, recording minutes, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Track and manage rate reviews, contracts, and commercial escalations, taking a proactive approach managing timelines, approvals and documentation.
  • Liaise with the Contract Manager on all contractual and compliance matters, escalating where necessary.
  • Champion commercial governance and accountability across client accounts to ensure proactive management rather than reactive response.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all client data, reporting, and records within business systems (including Salesforce and Connect)
  • Collaborate with the BDM & Operations teams to identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts, through improved service offerings, process efficiencies, or expanded scope.
  • Hold regular meetings with operations and support teams to align expectations, review performance, and address emerging risks or opportunities.
  • Lease and contribute to service and process improvements that enhance efficiency, governance, and customer outcomes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, forecasts, and performance summaries to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by your Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration and or logistics, supply chain management(preferred)
  • Proven experience in managing client accounts, in logistics, energy or oil and gas environments
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, including transportation, inventory management and warehousing
  • Excellent communication, Negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Experience in achieving results through Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Concepts
  • Experience in the implementation and on-going management of quality systems and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Applications, (Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Salesforce or similar systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-faced, dynamic environment.
