Primary Purpose

The Contracts Manager – Qube Energy is responsible for commercial governance, strategic account ownership and enterprise alignment across the Qube Energy portfolio.

This role ensures disciplined contract management, structured stakeholder engagement and alignment with Qube Ports governance frameworks, policies and systems. While operational business units retain responsibility for financial performance, the Contracts Manager provides oversight of commercial integrity, contract compliance, account governance and Tier 1 customer engagement.

The position leads executive-level relationships with Tier 1 customers and provides direction to the Account Manager and Contracts Manager to ensure consistent commercial standards across all accounts.

This role operates at the intersection of customer engagement, contract governance and internal enterprise alignment.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of key internal and external stakeholder relationships across Qube Energy, with executive-level ownership of Tier 1 customers.
  • Ensure contract governance and account management practices are maintained in line with the Qube Business Masterplan and Qube Ports policies, processes and approval pathways.
  • Develop annual commercial strategy and business plans in conjunction with Qube operational teams to support Qube Group targets and goals.
  • Lead the negotiation of key customer contracts, renewals and strategic variations, coordinating internal inputs and ensuring compliance with governance requirements.
  • Act as the senior commercial liaison and escalation point for customer contract matters, ensuring effective coordination and resolution of issues affecting contractual performance or compliance.
  • Oversee and govern account structures and data integrity within Salesforce, Connect and related systems to ensure renewal visibility, customer governance discipline and reporting accuracy.
  • Provide structured sales and business reporting in line with management requirements, supported by accurate system data.
  • Promote the Qube brand and capability across the customer portfolio through consistent, professional engagement.
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure commercial discipline, accountability and alignment across the portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in commercial/operations, with a focus on Oil & Gas, Mining, or Renewable Energy sectors.
  • Tertiary qualifications in warehousing, logistics, business or related discipline highly regarded.
  • Sound knowledge of contract management in Oil and Gas, Mining, or Renewable Energy industry practices.
  • Experience in achieving results through quality management and continuous improvement. concepts.
  • Proven problem-solving ability with a solutions orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment.
