About the Job
We're looking for a Trade Assistant to join our dedicated and hard-working Diesel Mechanical team. If you have a mechanical aptitude and enjoy getting your hands dirty while learning on the job, this could be perfect for you - a challenging and diverse role supporting the team in the empty shipping container industry.
- Days and Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday as required, 7:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Location: Neilson Street, Otahuhu
What You'll Do
You'll support the Diesel Mechanics team in all areas of the workshop, working alongside mechanics on a range of machinery from commercial vehicles through to forklifts and container handling equipment.
- Manual labour and general mechanical duties
- Assist mechanics with repairs and maintenance
- Workshop all-rounder supporting daily operations
What We Need
You have a passion for machinery, mechanical aptitude and work well in a team. A good communicator who's willing to roll your sleeves up and get the job done, enjoying learning on the job in a fast-paced environment.
- Full Class 1 drivers licence
- Physically fit, motivated with a good work ethic
- Flexible in your working environment
- Health and safety conscious with a positive attitude
