What would I be doing?

Our experienced Arborists ensure the efficient and effective safe trimming & dismantling of trees through safe climbing techniques & practices across a variety of powerline sites. Working within a small crew, you will rotate throughout the day between duties such as:

• Conduct thorough pre-start checks, risk assessments, complete JSA’s and establish exclusion drop zones with an observer prior to climbing
• Perform safe and competent climbing using approved rope safety harness and appropriate climbing techniques
• Clear vegetation & dismantle trees nearby high and low voltage powerlines
• Operate an Elevated Work Platform to perform vegetation/tree cutting with a chainsaw if necessary
• Assist crew members with clearing debris and tree branches from worksites post cutting/dismantling

What training will be provided?

• Assistance in obtaining an MR/HR truck licence
• Cert III in Arboriculture - AHC30824 1
• Chainsaw Ticket - AHCMOM213
• EWP High Risk Licence (>11m) - TLILIC0005 
• Certificate II in ESI (Electricity Supply Industry) - UET20321
• Work Zone Traffic Management
• First Aid & CPR - HLTAID011, HLTAID009
• White Card - CPCWHS1001
• Close Approach Vegetation Control

What do I need to apply?

• A current drivers’ license (MR/HR truck license is advantageous)
• Certificate III in Arboriculture
• EWP license (great, but not essential)
• Chainsaw Operators Certificates Level 1 & 2 (great, but not essential)
• First Aid & CPR (great, but not essential)
• A willingness to learn and work safely in a team environment
• The flexibility to live away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time, up to 6 times a year
