    Northline is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Financial Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract to support the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. This role is offered from May 2026 through to February 2027, providing an excellent opportunity to play a key role during a period of transformation as we implement a new finance management system.

     This role requires someone with strong technical capability, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships across the business while delivering outcomes aligned with Northline’s values of Safety, Integrity, Connected, Innovation and Customer Delight.
     Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure all end of month, quarterly and annual reporting is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
    • Prepare Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax returns, Taxable Payments Reporting and Payment Times Reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns in line with accounting standards.
    • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register with regular reconciliations.
    • Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow reporting to support business decision-making.
    • Prepare monthly Board papers, quarterly shareholder reporting and bank reporting.
    • Complete ABS surveys and other statutory reporting requirements as required.
    • Oversee and manage expense processes across the business.
    • Identify, recommend and support the implementation of system and process enhancements, including supporting the transition to a new finance management system.
     Key Competencies & Technical Requirements:
    • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, accountability and professionalism in all financial activities.
    • Experience in a similar role with a degree in Commerce, Accounting or equivalent; CA or CPA qualification preferred.
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax obligations and reconciliation processes.
    • Highly developed analytical capability with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insight.
    • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate work.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
      Positive, professional and proactive approach to work.
    • Ability to lead, support and motivate within a team environment.
