Purpose Statement
The Access Coordinator serves as a senior-level specialist responsible for ensuring equitable access within the academic environment. In addition to determining reasonable and appropriate accommodations for students with diverse disabilities, this role leads the development of institutional training materials and serves as the primary liaison for faculty communications regarding complex accessibility issues. The Access Coordinator acts as a subject matter expert in disability law (ADA/504) and helps guide the Disability Specialist team in standardizing service delivery.
Anticipated start date July 2026.
Minimum Qualifications
Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge. Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.
