Your Opportunity

 

Due to a recent internal promotion, we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrician to join the team at our Nova Operation.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Improve the reliability of the underground electrical infrastructure and assets at Nova by completing preventative and corrective electrical maintenance.
  • Ensure familiarity and compliance with IGO’s purpose, values, behaviours, objectives, policies and procedures, and relevant Acts and Regulations.
  • Actively participate in supporting and developing the department's safe work policies, procedures, plans, and practices.
  • Regularly communicate with your Supervisor and/or Leading Hand to ensure transparency on emerging or critical issues that may impact the safety or operation of the Nova underground mine.
  • Take ownership of your performance, learning, and development to achieve personal, departmental, and company goals.
  • Complete other tasks as delegated by your supervisor within your capabilities in adherence to company practices and procedures.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative team member with a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will also have the following:

  • WA Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
  • Previous experience working as an Underground Electrician
  • HV Operator Certificate
  • Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers licence; and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
