JOB SUMMARY

The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time position of Director of Football Recruiting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage in collaboration with the director of on-campus recruiting all recruiting activities and operations; oversight, in consultation with the football general manager of the recruiting budget for football; provide a vision and execute the overall plan for official and unofficial visits; providing support for practice and game preparation, including attending meetings related to coaching activities which include game analysis and review of game film; assisting, as needed, with data collection including the tracking of team performance statistics during competitions and practice sessions; produce reports on ongoing activity within the transfer portal; assist the General Manager with communication efforts with prospective student-athletes and their families; prepare film on prospective student-athletes and clip it to highlight abilities/skills that coaches will then use to make an evaluation; assist the coaches recruiting travel; assist with the travel logistics for all recruiting visits; the Director of Recruiting will assist the reconciliation process of all expenses within the football program; and other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and the General Manager for Football. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations.
  • Strong commitment to the academic goals of the University.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with a Division I football program.
  • Previous experience assisting with the overall operations of recruitment.
  • Proficiency in Teamworks.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
  • Possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with those of the Division of Athletics and its football program.
