JOB SUMMARY

The University of Connecticut is seeking applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director for Business Services (Administrative Program Support 2).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Athletics/Business Services, will coordinate and process all business-related aspects of the Division of Athletics, including but not limited to:

  • Serve as daily liaison to Athletics’ on-site travel agents (currently Anthony Travel), University Travel, and the Accounts Payable/Travel Department.
  • Serve as daily processor for travel card program, including issuance of student-athlete per diem, team travel cash advances, and recruiting host money.
  • Assist staff and coaches in University travel card training.
  • Provide oversight and assistance for reconcilement of team travel expenses, recruiting, and official visit expenses for all sports.
  • Oversee check deposits for the Division of Athletics.
  • Collaborate with Athletic Business Office personnel on the creation, implementation, and communication of internal travel policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of experience in an NCAA Division I collegiate athletic department.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with different departments.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with business management software (Jaggaer, Peoplesoft, Felix, Kuali, Concur, etc.).
  • More than 2 years of experience in an NCAA Division I collegiate athletic department, with a focus on group/team travel and individual travel.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Experience in drafting and implementing internal policies and procedures.
