The Department of Business Information Technology in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for multiple non-tenure-track appointments at the Assistant Professor of Practice levels beginning August 2025. The Business Information Technology major includes a Cybersecurity Management and Analytics (CMA) major and two other degree options in Computer-based Decision Support Systems (DSS) and Operations and Supply-chain Management (OSM). Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in security, privacy, risk management, data ethics, data governance, data analytics, machine and deep learning, or artificial intelligence. Candidates should have the appropriate academic background and expertise to teach, develop courses and conduct research in such areas as information security, risk management, privacy management, data ethics, data governance, machine and deep learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
