VTTI seeks a Software Developer to join an established and talented team who is making an impact in vehicle safety research. As a member of the team you’ll enable research into all levels of vehicle systems for research purposes. You’ll work in conjunction with developers across the full hardware/software stack from embedded firmware designers to front end web developers.
In this position, you will create and maintain software to collect timestamped video from multiple streams, transfer data to/from field equipment to home servers, and post-processing large amounts of data.
Assignments will leverage existing technology, combine emerging technology, and produce novel technology to solve interesting research questions.
The individual filling this role will independently perform most assignments with instructions on global objectives and general results expected. They will receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and work will be reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or significant equivalent experience.
-Experience writing software in C++
-Experience writing software in Python
-Strong understanding of OOP concepts
-Experience with Gnu/Linux.
-Experience with gstreamer
-Experience with ROS
-Experience with real time data collection
-Experience with openCV
Commensurate with Experience
Criminal Conviction Check Required.
