Job Description

Directs and guides the housekeeping program for Housing and Residence Life in the Division of Student Affairs to insure that established standards of cleanliness are met, following OSHA regulations and standard housekeeping practices, so that resident students and staff are provided a well maintained, clean and safe environment in the residential facilities.

Required Qualifications

Considerable experience supervising housekeeping personnel in a large institutional environment. Experience in business administration, building maintenance, trades, or related fields. Prior experience with commercial/industrial cleaning methods and chemicals. Demonstrated knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment. Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety and health policies and procedures. Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills for interaction with employees, students, and visitors at a large university campus. Computer experience with Windows and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook (or similar operating system and software).

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework in business administration, building maintenance, trade school or related field.
