Job Description

Academic advising for the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering Graduate students. Reviews plans of study and submission of required forms to the Graduate School. Resolve graduate student issues and liaise with entities on campus. Support orientations for incoming graduate students and workshops for continuing students. Assist with annual graduate student orientations and periodic workshops. Assist with ECE graduate student communications including deadline policies, submissions deadlines, graduate student events, research opportunities, and other timely communications. Assist with prospective graduate student on-campus and virtual recruiting events. Assist in the organization of graduate school information sessions for VT undergraduate students. Administration and recording of Annual ECE Graduate Student Evaluations. Assist in maintaining the ECE Graduate Student Management Database for enrolled ECE graduate students.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of training and/or experience | Experience working with a diverse student population | Experience using data management systems such as Microsoft Excel and presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint | Experience providing administrative support to senior-level executives in a corporate or higher education environment|
