Job Description

Serves as departmental maintenance staff in areas of commercial equipment and refrigeration. Assist supervisor/manager with planning/implementing preventive maintenance program for buildings, and equipment. Will provide hands-on training to support the needs of the operations. Performs work of moderate difficulty with responsibility for independently installing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, HVAC systems, and other building systems such as hydronic, steam heat, chilled water systems, and steam boilers, water heaters plus various forms of pumps. Responds to after-hours service calls when scheduled. Some overtime may be required. Essential personnel position requiring employees to report to work during emergency situations and closings.

Required Qualifications

• Working knowledge of maintenance methods, maintenance safety practices, and maintenance materials, tools and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience and good mechanical skills in equipment repair, refrigeration, HVAC, electricity, and general maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability interpreting, understanding, following, and applying procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow blueprints, schematic drawings, and specifications.
• Experience completing work orders.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and building systems.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Master level experience in commercial equipment repair.
• Some overtime is required and responds to after hour service calls in a team, and work when scheduled or in emergency situations. Must be willing to work weekend shift occasionally or on a rotating shift.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree and plus type Ill or universal EPA refrigeration certification.

Salary $55,000 - $60,000/year and commensurate with experience

The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check as well as a driving check with a safe driving record.
