Job Description

The position reports to the Quality Control Manager for Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities. The Quality Control & Project Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties to assist the Facilities Operations Team and has extensive interaction with promoting and overseeing compliance of daily operational quality as well as specialized customer funded and project work for all areas designated as Facilities responsible locations.

The position will provide site reviews (inspections) for custodial contractual and in-house operations as well as interior building inspections. The position is also responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager with oversight of corrective action plans for custodial functions and for the submittal of corrective actions for facility repairs. This position will be a line of contact with contractual services and will frequently navigate areas where these services are being performed to inspect and discuss needs and expectations. This position will provide support and serve as a resource to the Quality Control Manager and assist with the administrative functions.

This position will coordinate a designated collection of custodial functions of Facilities’ projects and special events. This will also include coordination of customer funded work requests and renovation cleaning projects, which will include a heavy focus on floor care work.

The ideal candidate must be detail, action, solution, and results oriented, as well as dedicated to continuous improvement. The successful candidate must have the ability to handle multiple activities including confidential and sensitive matters with the utmost discretion. The individual is expected to fulfill identified responsibilities with limited supervision while maintaining effective communication with the Quality Control Manager, Director, and other Facilities Department leaders.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with site reviews, continuous improvement and the oversight and implementation of corrective action plans.
• Ability to partner with team to create strategic processes and procedures.
• Experience with routine floor care and maintenance.
• Experience with general computer functions and software.
• Attention to detail and quality driven.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business or related field, or a combination of relevant training and/or experience.
• Experience in large commercial or educational settings.
• Experience in custodial services or facilities related field.
