Job Description

The 4-H Program Educator will work under the supervision and guidance and program partnership of the 4-H Agent. This position will administer and promote a comprehensive 4-H youth development program. They recruiting, train, and manage volunteers and youth participating in the 4-H program as directed by the 4-H Agent.

In addition, this position assists the 4-H Youth Development Agent to deliver and evaluate 4-H educational programs. Programs will include but are not limited to:in school programs, county and district contests, day and overnight camping, and youth team leadership and coaching.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent level of training and experience, knowledge and/or experience in working with children and adults in an educational setting. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other professionals and volunteers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate from accredited university/college with B.A. or B.S. degree; commensurate work experience preferably in animal sciences, agricultural education and/or general education coursework, youth development or related fields. Knowledge of Extension programs and/or 4-H Youth Development desirable. Experience in education and managing volunteers desired.
