Job Description

The Experiential Learning Opportunities Coordinator will join the Academy for Experiential Learning (AEL) team reporting to the Assistant Director for Learning Opportunities. This individual will collaborate with AEL staff, AEL interns, and campus partners to provide centralized services and support for experiential learning opportunities (internships, undergraduate research, study abroad, service learning, work-based opportunities). The coordinator’s responsibilities include: (a) providing support for coordination, management, and communication of experiential learning opportunities connected to academic degrees and programs; (b) assist in connecting external and campus opportunities to relevant academic programs and faculty; (c) assist in maintaining training materials and templates for faculty and opportunity providers for best practices and consistency; (d) assist with the management of a centralized interface for learning opportunities; (e) serve as a backup liaison with key campus stakeholders for communicating learning opportunities; (f) develop and coordinate information sessions around office services and resources; and (e) assist with office events and professional development opportunities for faculty.May include occasional evening and weekend hours
Opportunity to travel to approximately one conference per year

Required Qualifications

The required qualifications for a successful candidate for the coordinator position include: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field a demonstrated ability to manage projects; experience with database management, managing workflows, and communication of opportunities; excellent organization, time management, and communication skills ;demonstrated ability to cooperate across a range of stakeholders to manage and execute time-sensitive projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a large organization; experience with industry internship programs or other work-based experience programs; evidence of expertise in spoken and visual communications; evidence of the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere.
