Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Executive Recruiter will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top-tier leadership talent for Virginia Tech’s senior level positions. This role involves developing and executing innovative recruiting strategies to ensure the institution hires the most qualified candidates who will contribute to the institution's goals and mission. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in executive recruitment. This will also be an opportunity to help develop executive recruitment services and processes at Virginia Tech.
o Masters Degree OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration with several years of related experience.
o Experience in executive recruitment in a large decentralized organization
o Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
o Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders.
o Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment practices.
o Experience working in a higher education environment or supporting high education clients
o Strong understanding of higher education organizational structures and leadership roles.
o Terminal Degree and experience working in academic or research ranks within a college or university
Commensurate with Experience up to $100,000
