The Fiscal Technician, reporting to the Business Manager, assists with all aspects of fiscal management for the School of Visual Arts. Duties include budget monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting; purchasing and accounts payable; accounts receivable; travel; wage payroll reconciliation; wage hiring; management of fiscal assets; data gathering and preparation of ad hoc financial reports; and assistance with other financial and administrative duties as requested.

Fiscal and/or administrative support experience in an academic or professional office environment. Demonstrated experience in financial principles and procedures. Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft office applications such as Excel. Demonstrated multitasking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to audit, reconcile, detect errors, inconsistencies or discrepancies; to work independently with little supervision; maintain strict confidentiality; and produce work with a high degree of accuracy in a deadline driven environment and within policy and budgetary limits.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or experience in business with a concentration in accounting. Demonstrated proficiency with financial and human resources information systems such as Banner or equivalent software. Experience such as working with payroll, travel reimbursement, and management of fixed assets. Knowledge of university fiscal policies and procedures.
Salary range is $43,000 - $48,000 per year
This position would be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
