Job Description

This position will provide financial and administrative support for the Department of Chemistry. Responsibilities of the position include, P-Card purchases and maintenance, department travel using Chrome River, purchasing and reimbursement activities, and receiving utilizing HokieMart. This position is also responsible for processing and preparing all VTF payment forms. Other duties of this position include assist with various financial and administrative tasks in the department as needed.

Required Qualifications

Experience providing fiscal/administrative support in an academic or professional office environment.
Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work while achieving deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work with sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

Fiscal experience in an academic environment.
Knowledge of university fiscal policies and procedures.
Experience working with accounts payable/accounts receivable.
