We’re currently searching for a Health Quality Manager to join our Schiffert Health Center team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. So, if you’re interested in improving the health of the student population and quality of care, please keep reading.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) You’ll be joining the Schiffert Health Center team; a department centered on the health and wellbeing of our student population by caring for them in their times of illness or injuries.
2) You’ll be reporting to the Operations Services Manager, in a Regular twelve-month, 100% staff appointment. 
3) You’ll help to improve the health of the student population and quality of care by participating in data gathering, project planning, and promotion of health programs.
4) You'll collaborate with key facility/program stakeholders, including engagement with medical and clinical staff, to play a vital role in developing interventions and designated quality care initiatives.
5) You'll be responsible for management of Schiffert Health Center social media accounts, posting educational, marketing, or outreach content relevant to student health.
6) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
7) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $68,000 - $72,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Healthcare or closely related field and/or equivalent related experience
• Proven experience in quality improvement and assessment role
• Experience working in a health care setting required
• Experience in college health marketing and outreach programs
• Understanding of the principles of health education and health promotion
• Strong organizational, public speaking, writing, and editing skills
• Computer skills and experience with presentation software, computer database, and word processing systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work with diverse audiences (students, faculty, staff, alumni, news media, and staff colleagues) 

Preferred Qualifications
• Masters of Public Health, Masters of Health Administration, or Masters in Business Administration, with Project Management experience
• Experience providing patient education or health education
• Experience in direct responsibility for marketing related activities that include but are not limited to presentations, writing, social media content, and event planning
• Experience in development of communications research, market research, public opinion research, health behavior research, or similar programs
• Experience in graphic development software
