Under the direction of the Associate Director of Data Analytics and Assessment, the Library Data Specialist focuses on supporting development of an assessment training program aimed at enhancing the efficiency of data collection throughout the library. Responsibilities include supporting existing and new assessment projects through data collection, analysis, and manipulation, and assisting with development of internal assessment documentation.
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel at a high proficiency level
- Experience in academic libraries
- Experience with creating and updating workflow documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
- Experience interpreting and applying complex policies, procedures, and practices
- Experience with data transformation software such as Tableau Prep, OpenRefine and/or using R or Python for data cleaning
- Experience working with library-specific databases and software such as LibConnect, Alma or other ILS systems, Celus, etc.
- Experience with qualitative data analysis
Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime
$17.75-$18.00/hour dependent on qualifications and experience
20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. Must work holidays and school breaks.
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
