The Virginia Tech Center for Economic and Community Engagement (CECE) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of program coordinator. The program coordinator will support administrative and outreach responsibilities to the VTOP Region 2 Internship Collaborative and GO Virginia Region 2. This position is a calendar year, full time, restricted staff position. The selected candidate will work closely with the program manager, other CECE faculty and staff, and the Internship Collaborative Steering Committee and GO Virginia Region 2 Council.
· Experience providing administrative and programmatic support duties in a multifaceted
fast-paced office environment.
· Demonstrated proficiency with current office computer software including word
processing, spreadsheets, databases, and desktop publishing
· Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Program/project experience that demonstrates initiative, creativity, organization, and
attention to detail.
· Degree in business, communications, a related field or equivalent training and/or
experience.
· Advanced Microsoft Office and Teams skills
· Experience planning, organizing, and marketing events and educational activities
· Experience working in sales and/or marketing
Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
