We’re currently searching for a Golf Shop Assistant to join our Golf Course team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) You’ll be joining the Golf Course team that is part of the Recreational Sports department; a department centered on promoting wellbeing, physical activity, sport and fitness by providing excellent recreational facilities and programs.
2) You’ll be reporting to the Assistant Director of Golf, in a non-student wage appointment. 
3) You’ll be the first point of contact and be responsible for providing friendly and professional customer service while answering calls and making golf reservations.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a base compensation of $14.24 per hour.

Required Qualifications
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working at a golf course.
