The Field Trip Coordinator provides support for educational outreach events administered by the Center for Educational Networks and Impacts (CENI). CENI is an institute level research center within the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology. This position works closely with CENI faculty and student staff in the area of event implementation, logistics communication, and outreach. They will coordinate student groups, exhibitors, field trip destinations, and itineraries. Collaboration with schools, chaperones, exhibitors, supervisors, student workers, and other stakeholders is an important part of this role. The Field Trip Coordinator should have strong communication skills and capacity to work both within a team and independently. It is expected that this position will work up to 20 hours per week on average during the field trip season, which is September – November and February – April, with fewer hours in the summer. Occasional weekend hours may also be required.


Key responsibilities for this position include:
- scheduling of schools and exhibitors
- event/program coordination
- implementation of events/programs
- ensuring programs and participants are in compliance with university policies leading up to and during events

Required Qualifications

- Related degree or equivalent training/experience
- Experience with public speaking
- Experience supporting complex event planning activities
- Experience with a variety of software including word processing, calendar software, video conference software, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree in related field
-Experience in K12 education
-Experience with classroom management
