The College of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences seeks an Administrative & Fiscal Coordinator to join a growing team of individuals who provide shared services support for departments and centers across the College. This particular role will have a focus on supporting international travel and providing fiscal management of the College’s study abroad programming, in addition to other administrative duties within the Office of the Dean.
Fiscal Duties:
- Provide direct support to CLAHS departments in managing study abroad program budgets and financial tracking, including the development of resources for tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare financial reports and projections for program funding and expenditures.
- Collaborate with the University’s Global Education Office on the management of study abroad program budgets.
- Ensure all expenses comply with institutional policies regarding travel, spending limits and reporting.
- Assist faculty with vendor payments related to study abroad programs.
- Provide support for the expense reimbursement process following the completion of the study abroad program travel.
Administrative Duties:
- Collect and analyze program feedback and data.
- Prepare reports on program outcomes and student experiences.
- Provide general administrative support within the Office of the Dean, including preparing and processing travel and other general purchasing (HokieMart, ChromeRiver, food approvals, VTF, etc).
- Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in study abroad fiscal administration or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of international travel requirements and regulations.
• Understanding of VT fiscal systems, such as ChromeRiver, HokieMart, MicroStrategy, and Banner
• Familiarity with VT study abroad programs and policies
Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime
Commensurate with Experience, starting $48,000
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
