We’re seeking an Assistant Director of Operations Services to join the Schiffert Health Center team in Blacksburg, VA.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) You’ll be joining the Schiffert Health Center team; a department centered on the health and wellbeing of our student population.
2) You’ll be reporting to the Director of the Schiffert Health Center in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment.
3) You'll lead and direct the daily operations of the Schiffert Health Center on the Virginia Tech campus. This will include personnel management, strategic development, related programs, and collaborative communication of operational areas. These areas include Health Information Management (HIM), Quality Outreach Management, Student Experiential Learning, and Operational/Housekeeping Services. Leadership, supervision, and personnel management are key roles in this position as well as student development and the growth of student development opportunities.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $85,000 - $100,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Extensive experience working in a health care setting.
• Demonstrated administrative management and supervisory skills.
• Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork in a medical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, customers, administrators, and colleagues both verbally and in writing.
• Computer skills including presentation software, computer database software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experienced presenter and/or public speaking.
• Previous experience in developing and leading student-centric programs and activities to promote experiential learning or comparable experience.
• Experience with HIPAA and FERPA, including training.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree.
• Experience providing patient information or health education.
• Experience with assessment and data management.
• Electronic Medical Records experience.
• Experience in a college health setting.
