The Office of the University Registrar is looking for an individual to join our team as an Associate Registrar for Student Services. You will play a pivotal role as an executive member of the University Registrar’s Leadership team. As a leader in the office, the Associate Registrar advises the Deputy Registrar and University Registrar on procedures and policies in their area of responsibility by providing formal recommendations and assessments of impacts.

1) You will be joining the Office of the University Registrar: a department dedicated to assisting students in navigating their academic journey at Virginia Tech from admission to beyond graduation.
2) You will report directly to the Deputy Registrar & Director of Operations. This position is a regular, calendar year, AP (Administrative Professional) faculty appointment.
3) This position is primarily responsible for the oversight of domicile, calendaring, transfer credit, NC-SARA membership, records & enrollment, and broad operations pertaining to customer service and communication to students.
5) The salary of this position is commensurate with experience accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid leave, and retirement options.

Required Qualifications:
- Successful candidate must have a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with significant related work experience.
- Extensive supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated professional administrative experience in a complex organization such as higher education.
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills, the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, program planning and implementation, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Several years' experience in functional areas within a Registrar’s Office, which included responsibilities in planning and the implementation of unit and institutional initiatives and goals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage substantial projects.
- Experience interpreting and communicating institutional, state, and/or federal policies and procedures.
- Experience with Banner or similar data systems, and large-scale database information querying tools.
- Experience working with college students and knowledge of college student development.
- Familiarity with Virginia Tech organization structure and policies.
