Job Description

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Systems Analyst is a member of the Middleware & Identity Apps team and reports to the Application Developer & System Administrator Lead within Secure Identity Services (SIS). The position provides administration and maintenance of IAM systems used for authentication, authorization, and data retrieval in order to support mission-critical campus applications. Evaluate new technologies and assist in planning and integration of those technologies with IAM systems. Provide technical assistance to customers and stakeholders. The IAM Systems Analyst will play a critical role in the implementation and support of access control systems, will provide escalated support and subject matter expertise, and will maintain product, process, and product documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, STEM, or a related field
OR a bachelor’s degree plus training and work experience equivalent to a master’s degree
- Demonstrated ability to be a knowledge leader
- Experience as a Systems Analyst/Systems Engineer
- Experience providing primary product support for an enterprise product
- Experience working as a systems analyst in an agile environment
- Basic to Intermediate SQL skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and extensive experience working with business and technology stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

- Intermediate level experience as a Systems Analyst/Systems Engineer in an IAM environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Identity and Access Management business processes and controls
- Experience with enterprise IAM systems, especially InCommon Trusted Access Platform products (e.g. Grouper, Shibboleth, MidPoint), or other open source systems
- Experience administering self-managed Gitlab
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with Directories (LDAP, AD), SAML integrations, and access policy management.
- Best Practices knowledge of RBAC/ABAC, principle of least privilege, and Provisioning/Deprovisioning
- Experience with AWS EKS, RDS, and S3
- Experience in a Higher Education environment
- Experience with ServiceNow and JIRA
- Experience working in a BDD/TDD development environment
