The Box Office Manager directs ticket office operations and manages ticketing system processes. Reporting to the Director of Ticketing and Patron Services, the Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily ticketing system operations, including building and maintaining system events; overseeing daily box office sales operations; serving as on-duty manager for events, including on nights and weekends; recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising ticket office staff to ensure consistently professional, excellent service; creating and updating training documents and procedural guides; and collecting ticketing data, analyzing results, and making recommendations to senior managers.
- Bachelor's degree in theatre management, hospitality, communications, business, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong customer service experience and conflict resolution skills.
- Well-developed communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Cash handling experience and working knowledge of business office and accounting practices.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours for events.
- Experience leading a box office team.
- Working knowledge of ticketing systems and software.
- Experience supervising and scheduling student staff.
Exempt: Not eligible for overtime
$50,000-$52,000, commensurate with experience
