Job Description

The Registration Operations Manager provides strategic leadership for the Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) registration services team, overseeing the enrollment lifecycle for a high-volume portfolio of 300+ programs. Reporting to the Director of CPE, the manager ensures a seamless experience for 25,000 annual learners by balancing technical expertise with a commitment to exceptional service. This role demands a proactive problem-solver who can navigate complex datasets and maintain rigorous administrative integrity in a dynamic educational environment.
Beyond daily operations, this role is the primary steward of CPE’s enrollment revenue and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring adherence to CPE funds-handling policies, audit standards, and Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements, while maintaining oversight of all registration revenue reconciliation, including deposits and refunds.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the registration services team, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
• CEU Administration & Compliance: Serve as the primary intake and evaluation point for all Continuing Education Unit (CEU) applications; lead the development of internal policies regarding contact hours and learner records to ensure academic and regulatory integrity.
• Systems & Consultation: Act as the lead point-of-contact for enrollment and financial activity within the CPE registration system. Serve as a strategic consultant to both internal and external stakeholders to optimize the user experience for staff and learners

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training in a financial, business, or continuing education environment
• Significant supervisory and leadership experience with strong delegation skills.
• Proven experience leading customer service operations in high-volume environments
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment under pressure, resolving complex issues and managing on-the-spot challenges with professional composure and decisiveness
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with high emotional intelligence and professional diplomacy. Must be adept at building rapport with a diverse public audience and fostering a collaborative environment within a multi-disciplinary team
• Self-starter capable of operating independently while excelling in a collaborative team setting. Proven ability to prioritize complex projects efficiently and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly the use of Excel to manage complex operations. Proven experience manipulating high-volume datasets in Excel using advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools to drive decision-making and reporting
• Proven ability to work ethically with sensitive data while maintaining a high level of confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with registration/enrollment for courses, conferences, or events
• Previous experience working with contact hours/CEUs
• Experience with systems utilized by CPE, including Modern Campus, Salesforce, Banner, MicroStrategy, and Flywire
• Funds handling/fiscal processing or auditing experience
• Knowledge of state and university policies
