Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Administrative Manager to provide operational management and administrative support to the areas within the Senior Director for Student Engagement and Community Centers portfolio. The Human Resources Administrative Manager provides leadership and oversight for HR administration across Student Engagement and Campus Life (SECL) and the Cultural and Community Centers (CCCs), as well as executive support across the Student Engagement and Campus Life leadership team. This position ensures compliance with university policies, manages departmental hiring and onboarding processes, and delivers strategic administrative support to senior leadership. The Manager serves as a key liaison between SECL, CCCs, and Student Affairs HR, while fostering a positive and professional environment for staff and students.

Here’s what you need to know about the role:

1. You will join Student Engagement and Campus Life, a department that uplifts the student experience by cultivating affirming environments, promoting holistic well-being, and providing exceptional services.

2. You will report to the Associate Director for Student Organizations and Administration, in a regular, full-time, 100% university staff appointment.

3. You will be responsible for leading HR administration for Student Engagement and Campus Life (SECL) and the Cultural and Community Centers (CCCs), serving as the primary liaison between the departments and the Student Affairs Human Resources Office. In this role, you will also design and implement training materials and resources to promote awareness and compliance with departmental and university policies, while providing administrative support to the Senior Director and SECL Associate Directors.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in HR administration, onboarding, and payroll/time entry systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and coordinate various schedules.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, exercising judgment, using problem-solving strategies, and maintaining highly confidential and sensitive information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of university human resources, travel, payroll, and policies and procedures.
• Experience supporting senior leadership in an administrative or HR management capacity.
• Previous experience working in higher education.
