Job Description

The Director of Undergraduate Programs is a senior Administrative and Professional Faculty position in the Department of Computer Science, responsible for the effective coordination and leadership of undergraduate program operations, program coordination and enrollment management activities, as well as student engagement initiatives and program-level student success efforts. As a member of the Undergraduate Services leadership team, the Director supports student success by leading program-wide initiatives related to student experience, communication, scholarships, co-curricular engagement, outcomes tracking, and the effective coordination of undergraduate program processes.

This role emphasizes undergraduate program coordination and student-facing initiatives while partnering closely with the Associate Department Head of Undergraduate Studies, the Undergraduate Advising Coordinator, and the Director of Academic Operations to support student progression, time-to-degree, enrollment patterns, and overall program effectiveness. The Director supervises the Student Support and Program Coordinator and collaborates broadly across the department and college.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in computer science or another science or engineering discipline; or Master’s degree in higher education, academic advising or related field.

Strong communication and personal skills.

Experience with typical administrative software tools including electronic file sharing, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Experience preparing and analyzing data-driven reports or plans.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience in academic advising.

Professional experience in higher education.

Professional experience as a supervisor.

Experience in communications or marketing.

Experience working with international students.

Experience with university student records systems.
