Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will conduct independent and collaborative research on projects involving molecular, cellular, and circuit-level analysis of thermosensory systems across multiple insect species. The candidate is expected to contribute to peer-reviewed publications and external presentations, and to collaborate effectively with both laboratory members and external collaborators.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, or a related discipline.  

PhD awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.

• Experience in electrophysiology or calcium imaging and the associated analysis
• Experience using a microscope such as confocal or two-photon scopes
• Demonstrated research productivity through peer-reviewed publications and/or preprints
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Drosophila (fruit flies) as a research model
• Experience in molecular biology techniques
• Experience in computational data analysis and scientific programming (Python, R, MATLAB)
• Experience in connectome analysis
• Experience in molecular dynamics modeling

Salary will be determined according to NIH guidelines and experience level.
