The Case Management Coordinator for Undergraduate Academic Integrity position is a part-time, 12-month Staff position that is integral to promoting and supporting a culture of honesty and integrity at Virginia Tech. This position will also be expected to interpret, evaluate, and implement the Undergraduate Honor System policy under the direction of the Director for Undergraduate Academic Integrity. This person is responsible for managing and processing incoming academic integrity cases, serving as a liaison to the Registrar and specialized campus partners, providing oversight for students’ academic integrity records, and overseeing sanction completion/case closure.
The Office of Undergraduate Academic Integrity is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Case Management Coordinator. This position is a part-time, 12-month Staff role that is integral to promoting and supporting a culture of honesty and integrity at Virginia Tech. The person in this position will be responsible for case management which includes consulting with students and faculty regarding case evidence and other university stakeholders. Busy periods include midterms (Fall - October; March-April) and final exams (November/December; May).
Specific responsibilities of the Case Manager include:
1. Oversee students’ academic integrity records (background checks, internships, security clearances, etc.).
2. Provide mentoring and training for student delegates through Maxient software.
3. Process, manage and track all UAI cases.
4. Support data requests using Maxient and university data sources for monthly reports.
5. Serve as a back-up for administrative tasks including monitoring the HonorSys email and answering calls to OUAI.
Bachelor's degree with related experience. Strong written, oral, organizational, management, and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service in an academic or professional environment. Record of professionalism and demonstrated work ethic. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and timely decision-making practices to accomplish organizational goals.
Experience in higher education, specifically academic integrity, student conduct, housing and residence life, or other community standards system.
Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime
20 hours per week; M-F 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon; limited to a total of 1500 hrs./year
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
