The Department of Chemistry at Virginia Tech invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at any academic rank in organic chemistry with expertise in synthetic methodology, medicinal chemistry, and/or catalysis, with an intended start date of Fall 2025.
The applicant is expected to participate actively in the Virginia Tech Center for Drug Discovery. Potential candidates must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field, establish an internationally recognized research program, effectively teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and commit to developing a culturally diverse educational environment. The Department of Chemistry is committed to building an inclusive community of chemists through programs and activities woven into the department’s research, teaching, and outreach efforts.
